Did you know you could be a part of living history and ride the historic Pony Express Trail in Colorado?

The Colorado portion of the historic Pony Express Trail is approximately 26 miles long. It starts at the Nebraska state line east of Julesburg, westward on the south of the South Platte River, then north along Lodgepole Creek and back into Nebraska.

The Colorado Division of the Pony Express offers the opportunity to participate as a Rider or Wrangler in the Annual Re-ride held in June each year. Members will receive a Ride Pin, membership card, a subscription to the Pony Express Gazette (annual newspaper). A special edition of the New Testament is given to riding members. As a member, will also be able to learn about the Pony Express and the Pony Express National Historic Trail.
