Ranch Sorting Saddle Series Kicks off 2022 Season!

Home » Blog » News

March 18-20 was an exciting weekend as the season for sorting at Latigo Equestrian Center in Elbert Colorado got started for the year. Kris Fiser of Comin’ in Hot Productions did a great job of pulling the show together making it a fun weekend for all. Latigo is well setup with 2 pens going at all times. Located just minutes from Colorado Springs, this facility is a hub of activity every weekend with a variety of different disciplines from Dressage to Ranch Versatility.

Each show in the Saddle Series offers a clinic prior to the show from 3-5 PM on Fridays.  The shows offer support and help for beginners including upper level riders holding the gate for beginners. They offer Beginner RH Champion Buckles at every event!

Saddles will be awarded in October for champion point earners with custom awards for reserve champion and 3rd place in the following classes:

All Levels Champion
Masters Champion
Western Heritage All Levels Champion
Western Heritage 3 and below Champion
Rookie #11/2 Champion
Rookie #11/4 Champion
#8 Class Champion
#4 Class Champion

I was really impressed with the level of skill in these riders. I’ve sorted for fun for over 10 years and still learned a great deal about the sport.

Congratulations to winners!
